Dans'illot Festival

Dans'illot is a proposal for dance encounters and performances on the beach of S'Illot, in the municipality of Manacor, Moreia Beach.

Dancing with the sea nearby has been a clear premise to reclaim dance outside theaters, auditoriums, and schools. Dance is a free expression that can be anywhere, where we are.

Coproduction in Spain between the Grec Festival of Barcelona and Teatro Central de Sevilla.

An actress and a single scene, but repeated a hundred times with a hundred different partners during the 24 hours of a day. Do you want to see it on stage or up close, on the screen?

Co-production between Es Baluard Museu d'Art Contemporani de Palma, Grec Festival of Barcelona, and KunstFest Weimar, Germany.

Inspired by the text Ubu Roi, written by Alfred Jarry in 1896, the work represents a critique against war and totalitarianism with a grotesque and dictatorial protagonist that remains as relevant today as when it was created, and in the research/creations of Joan Miró around the universe of Ubu Roi.
